About the course

The Adult Learning course was developed for those who wish to understand the educational processes aimed at adults, regardless of their previous background. It is ideal for educators, volunteers, professionals in the social field, or anyone interested in promoting lifelong education. The course is completely online and free, with accessible language and straight-to-the-point content. During the course, the student will learn about the main concepts of adult education, including the characteristics of the adult audience, more effective teaching methods, motivational strategies, and the principles of andragogy. Inclusive practices and ways to respect and value the prior knowledge of adult students will also be addressed. At the end of the course, the participant will have the opportunity to take a quiz with multiple-choice questions. This quiz is designed to review and consolidate the main topics covered, helping the student assess their own progress. Access to the quiz is simple and can be done directly on the platform. After completing the course and taking the quiz, the student can request a completion certificate for a nominal fee. This certificate can be useful for proving hours in complementary activities, enhancing the resume, selection processes, or simply as personal recognition for the acquired knowledge. This is a free course, supported by the Guidelines and Bases for National Education Law (LDB), Law No. 9,394/1996, and Presidential Decree No. 5,154, of July 23, 2004, which regulate the offering of non-formal courses aimed at developing competencies and skills.
