About the course

The Barber course was developed for those who wish to learn a new profession or improve their skills in the barbershop area. Completely online and free, it offers a complete introduction to the world of men's hair cutting, beard trimming, visagism, and customer service, allowing the student to study at their own pace, without the need for previous training. During the course, the student will have access to content on classic and modern cutting techniques, beard shaping, instrument hygiene, notions of visagism, biosafety, professional posture, and tips on how to set up and manage a barbershop. The material is presented clearly and accessibly, ideal for both beginners and those with some experience in the field. At the end of the course, the student can test their knowledge through an interactive quiz. This assessment consists of objective questions based on the studied content and aims to reinforce learning, as well as indicate whether the student is ready to move on to professional practice or continue studying. The student who completes the course and takes the quiz may, if desired, obtain a completion certificate for a symbolic fee. This certificate is a great way to prove the acquired knowledge, which can be included in the resume, presented in job interviews, or used to add value to their professional portfolio. It is worth mentioning that this is a free course, meaning it does not require a minimum level of education and has no prerequisites. It is supported by the Law of Guidelines and Bases of National Education (LDB), nº 9.394/1996, and by Presidential Decree nº 5.154, of July 23, 2004, which regulate the offer of free courses for the purpose of professional qualification and updating.
