About the course

The Computer Networks Technician course was developed for those who wish to understand how the connections that keep the digital world moving work. In a clear and accessible way, the course presents the fundamental concepts of computer networks, from physical cabling to protocols used on the internet. It is an excellent opportunity for those seeking new knowledge or wishing to start a career in the technology field. Throughout the course, the student will learn about the main types of networks (LAN, MAN and WAN), topologies, IP addressing, routers, switches, servers, and security standards. Structured cabling concepts, protocols like TCP/IP, and tools for network diagnosis and maintenance will also be covered. All content is presented in text format, facilitating reading and following at the student's own pace. At the end of the course, the student will have the opportunity to test their knowledge through a quiz. The questions are based on the content studied and help reinforce the main concepts learned. The quiz is essential to reinforce learning and ensure that the student is prepared to apply what they have learned in practice. After taking the quiz, the student can optionally obtain a completion certificate for a nominal fee. The certificate can be used to enhance a resume, prove extracurricular hours, participate in selection processes, or simply record the knowledge acquired. It is issued digitally and can be accessed at any time. This is a free course, which means that anyone can participate, regardless of education or age. It is supported by the National Education Guidelines and Bases Law (LDB), Law No. 9,394/1996, and by Presidential Decree No. 5,154, of July 23, 2004, which regulate the offering of free courses for professional qualification.
