About the course
The Home Animal Caregiver course is ideal for those who want to learn how to take care of pets in a home environment, offering attention, comfort, and well-being to animals. It covers the basic principles of responsible care, aimed at both pet owners and people interested in working as caregivers. During the course, the student will learn about proper nutrition, hygiene, walking routines, simple medication administration, and identification of common animal behaviors. Specific care for dogs and cats will also be presented, as well as guidance on safety and respect for each pet's needs. At the end of the course, the student must take a quiz with objective questions to assess the knowledge acquired. This test helps reinforce learning and verify the understanding of the content covered throughout the classes. After passing the quiz, the student can choose to purchase a completion certificate for a symbolic fee. The certificate can be used to enhance the resume, prove study hours, and demonstrate readiness to work in home animal care. This is a free, accessible course open to anyone, without a minimum education requirement. It is in accordance with the National Education Guidelines and Bases Law (LDB), No. 9,394/1996, and with Presidential Decree No. 5,154, of July 23, 2004, which regulate free courses in Brazil.
