About the course
The Hospital Laundry course was developed for those who want to understand the operation and importance of this sector within healthcare facilities. Hospital laundry is responsible for processing clothes and fabrics used in clinical environments, ensuring hygiene, safety, and infection prevention. It is an essential area for the proper functioning of hospitals, clinics, and laboratories. During the course, the student will learn about the types of hospital clothes, the processing flow, biosafety standards, washing and disinfection techniques, as well as proper handling and storage. Specific care will also be addressed for contaminated clothes and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). At the end of the course, the student will take a quiz to test the acquired knowledge. This test contains objective questions about the main themes covered in the classes, allowing for a practical and quick assessment of learning. Those who complete the course may, optionally, obtain a completion certificate for a nominal fee. This certificate can be useful for enhancing the resume, proving knowledge in the field, or supplementing extracurricular hours in educational institutions, as needed by the student. This is an open course, accessible to anyone, regardless of their level of education. It is legally supported by the National Education Guidelines and Bases Law (LDB), Law no. 9,394/1996, and by Presidential Decree no. 5,154, of July 23, 2004, which regulate the offering of open courses in Brazil.
