About the course

The Basic Poultry Farming course was created for those who want to learn the fundamental principles of raising poultry, especially chickens, focusing on egg and meat production. It is an excellent opportunity for beginners or small producers who wish to start a profitable and sustainable activity. Throughout the course, the student will learn about the main bird breeds, proper handling, feeding, disease control, poultry structure, and animal welfare. Basic notions about reproduction, incubation, and product commercialization will also be addressed. At the end of the content, the student will be able to take a quiz with objective questions to test their knowledge and evaluate how much they have learned. This step serves as a review of the main topics covered in the course. Those who complete the course and pass the quiz can optionally obtain a completion certificate.
