About the course

The course Exercises in the Third Age was developed to guide people who wish to understand the importance of physical activity for the elderly, whether for personal, family, or professional application. The content is ideal for caregivers, family members, beginner physical educators, or anyone interested in the well-being of the elderly. Throughout the course, the student will learn about the benefits of physical exercises for the elderly, the precautions that should be taken before and during practice, as well as getting to know recommended types of activities, such as stretching, walking, balance exercises, and muscle strengthening. Motivation and safety tips will also be addressed. At the end of the course, the student will take a quiz with questions based on the content studied. The goal is to review the main points covered and evaluate the understanding of the information in a light and didactic way. After taking the quiz, the student can obtain a completion certificate for a symbolic fee. This certificate can be used to complement the resume, demonstrate knowledge in free courses, or even assist in selection processes in the elderly care area. This is a free course, accessible to all interested parties, as provided for in the National Education Guidelines and Bases Law (LDB), Law No. 9,394/1996, and Presidential Decree No. 5,154, of July 23, 2004. There is no educational requirement, and the content can be accessed for free and 100% online.
