About the course

The Radiation Therapy Assistant course was developed for those who wish to learn more about the functioning of the radiotherapy sector and the role of professionals who work in support of this essential service in the healthcare field. It is a theoretical introduction aimed at understanding the routines, responsibilities, and care involved in caring for patients undergoing radiotherapeutic treatments. Throughout the course, the student will learn about the basic concepts of radiotherapy, types of treatments, equipment operation, safety regulations, patient care, and notions of biosafety. Ethical and behavioral issues important to those working in hospital environments and specialized clinics will also be addressed.
